Hi,everybody! Welcome to my blog.My blog is about "WEEDS IN AGRICULTURAL FIELD" .Here i have tried to express some general opinion about importance of practical work for weed management in agriculture.

INTRODUCTION:At the beginning of life on earth there were no weeds.Nature had no concept of disharmony or undesirability.From the beginning of human civilization men preferred useful plants to meet up their hunger and various other needs and eventually avoided non-useful plants.

DEFINITION  OF WEEDS:There are several definitions of weeds. But weed can be better defined as

“plants those are competitive ,persistent and pernicious. They interfere with human activities and as a result are undesirable.”

“Weeds are unwanted and undesirable plants which interfere with the utilization of land and resources and thus adversely affect human welfare”.

CHARACTERISTICS OF WEEDS:

1.COMPETITIVE CHARACTERISTICS:

-High competitive ability,Quick emergence,High rate of stand establishment,Fast growth rate.

2.persistent characteristics.

3.Pernicious(Harmful ) characteristics:

-Reduce yield of crops, Reduce quality of harvested crops, Increase cost of production of crops,Create health hazards to human and animals and etc.

BENEFICIAL EFFECTS OF WEEDS:

Besides the harmful effects, weed plants also contribute beneficial effects to men and other life forms.these are follows:

1.Provide food for human being. 2.Provide feed and fodder for livestock and wild animals.

3.Provide organic matter to soil

4.Used for landscape beautification ,etc.

Moment of collecting weeds

Collecting weeds is very interesting.

Everyone is busy to collect weeds.

WEED MANAGEMENT:Weed management is a combination of practices by which weed infestation is kept to the minimum for successful and profitable crop production.The main objective of weed management is to maintain an environment which is detrimental to weeds as well as beneficial to crops by employing several measures either alone or in combination.
COMPONENTS OF WEED MANAGEMENT:Prevention,control,eradication.

WEED MANAGEMENT IN RICE FIELD BY US:AGR-205,weed science course we learned about many weeds and their manage system.We went to the rice field with our course instructor.we practiced in the rice field with the help of japanese rice weeder.It was very interesting day. 

Fully concentrated to control weeds in rice field.

It was not hardful but enjoyable.

One of my friends was doing experimental work on weeds using japanese rice weeder.

It was cheerful to my friend when she learned new methods  of controlling weeds.

CONCLUSION: From my blog,i have tried to show different types of weeds and their management which is main constrain of agriculture in our country as well as throughout the world. Weeds a
re very harmful for agricultural productivity.we have done practical activities in the field regarding identification of weeds ,management of weeds,which was not only amazing but also source of learning.
